Training: Introduction
Hung Gar, which translates as Hung family, was founded in the 18th century by Hung Hei Gung.
Hung Hei Gung studied Gung Fu under the Tutelage of the monk Gee Sin Sim See at the infamous Sil Lum (Shaolin) Temple.
Hung Gar is the most prominent and fiercest of all the Gung Fu systems in Southern China. This style utilizes the techinques of the five animals and five elements of Chinese philosophy and contains both hard & soft techniques to achieve an effective and complete system of health and self defense.
Hung Gar is renowned for its rigorous training of stances and other foundations.
